PopCalendar is one of the first thing I download to unleash the power of any Mac!
PopCalendar doesnt open on the second monitor attached to Mac Book Pro via displayPort.
There are small jambs, but, as a whole, the program very good.
UI improvements hit the spot. Great for instant appointment lookups or reference for daily/monthly/yearly calendar. No mac should be without this app!
This is one of the few apps I have that I consider a “how did I survive with out it” app. So it was with great disappointment that I discovered it has a bug when used on MacBook Pros that have dual graphics cards that causes rapid battery draining. I contacted the developer who acknowledge he wasn’t able to test the app on a system with dual graphics cards and therefore was unaware of the issue. He also said he would research the problem so I’m eagerly looking forward to being able to use this app again; it really is indispensible for me.
Yeah, I like it, but it pops up a nag dialog for a rating THAT CAN’T BE CLOSED! One star for that!!!!
The app has a preference to choose the first day of the week. However, in the year mode, It does not display the "columns" with the day of week. A simple addition of a single row at the top of the yearly view would make it more useful.
Nice and useful, works like a charm. Thanks! I will rate it 5 stars when calendar weeks will be added (not only through a subscribed calendar) ;-)
Nice and useful app, could be a little bit faster, though.
Not sure I’m using it to its full potential but it’s a great way to pop open a calendar to view days and tasks.
Great addition. This calendar is the what OS X should have in place of the calendar tray drop down. The current menu should be an alt-click menu, just like the Wifi and Volume alt-click menus.
Open iCal is slow and painful. PopCalendar is the perfect solution!
Since installing Yosemite, I have been looking for a simple little calendar that shows up in the Finder menu. I tried a few but they all actually had too many bells and whistles. PopCalendar is just exactly what I was looking for. It rests quietly in my Finder menu bar. When you activate it, the entire year shows up in a smallish screen. It is able to tap into the events you may have already scheduled in the Apple Calendar. And I can add my own. Regular holidays and your personal appointments show up in different colors. Todays date gobsmacks you in red. Days and months are easily maneuvered around. Its all I need. Just what I was looking for. Thanks, Magnesium. Much appreciated. RR
This is a great little app and really helpful! A couple things that I would love to see: I used to have the menubar calendar app - but moved to this one. The one feature I miss is the option to keep this calendar over top of other apps. As soon as I click on another app it disapears. Would also like to be able to shut off the colours in the monthly view
You want plusses? I give you plusses: click its open, no muss no fuss. Click on a date, you got the events from your calendar. Click off of it and it closes. Simple, isnt it! Well, if you gotta have minuses, mine are ONLY personal. Ive got old eyes, so Id like to make the day numbers bigger, but maybe it will be possible in a future version . . Come on, guys its still really young yet, give it time. One more minus? Well, I use a slaved monitor for peripheral data, so itd be nice if I could move the calendar to that display and keep it open while I work on scheduling future events. I dont believe in "perfect", so I dont ever give 5 stars, but as is, this is a strong 4 stars for me.
Great minimalistic calendar app, it has everything I needed, including editing, adding, removing events in my calendar. Also after last many updates everyhing is super clear and easy to use. And also icon on menu bar displays current date - thats cool :) Must have! Im only missing events notifications.

Nice and simple!
I love the cleaness of this app. Works great. A few color customizations in a future version would be a nice touch.
