Great Fantastical alternative

A lightweight and budget-friendly, yet shockingly good alternative to Fantastical. *Really beautiful design, both very legible and good-looking. *EASY TO GET AN OVERVIEW OF YOUR EVENTS FROM MONTH VIEW: Days of month-view get partially colored by whatever calendar events you have that day, PRESERVING your original calendar colors (Google or iCloud), so if you have two events on different calendars, that day’s background is a two-color pie, instead of the empty (white). This is super useful, and the colors are very easy to discern for my old eyes, more legible than Fantastical for instance. *EASY EDITS - through a daily EVENT LIST When you navigate to any day and click (or press enter) , you can instantly see a list of events at the bottom, and EDIT them immediately as well. Again, reminiscent of Fantastical. *Keyboard-friendly *There are year and month views. So far, the app is just the right amount of minimal and functional, it’d be nice to see new features without losing the speed and no-frills navigation. Nerdy special request: Keyboard up/down arrow support to quickly navigate days. As it is, only left/right arrows work, slowing navigation a bit. A keyboard shortcut to go to ‘Today’ instanly would also be the icing on this already great app.

“PERFECT"

I love this little calendar. I like it in my menubar so I can easily check dates. I “uninstalled” the infamous… red calendar because it kept asking to connect to a couple of my gmail accounts that I don’t use calendar on and it was annoying me for a year until I found this gem. Bye-bye little red cal; I’m in love again. Sorry Fantastical… I was only using you for your dates. Just wish I could set Monday as my beginning day + ref the day with a mark of some sort/ maybe just last day of week on Month line to keep it tight. update: Wow! I just looked at my pop calendar and it changed to circles. I dont know it ifs an update or what, but i sure am excited! Option for "mon" or "m" format. cool. Weekends are separated/ by line, so I am not guessing that Im still using Monday as first day of week... takes away second guessing! I said to remind me later, but now Ill go and promote it. Thank you for the ingenious support! -Jim
